OUR SERVICES
LAYING
We can place your new floorboards on top of concrete, chip board or your existing floor. We also offer carpet removal.
OILING
We offer oiling coating products that the timber absorbs. It doesn’t sit on top of the timber like normal coating, but protects it and gives it a more natural look and feel. We offer Rubio Monocoat and Fiddes Hardwax Oils.
CARPET REMOVAL
We can remove your carpet for you as part of our service, and remove protrusions such as nail heads and staples.
STAINING
To change the colour of your existing timber floors, we offer stains using FeastWatson products.
SANDING
Generally the entire floor must be sanded, you can’t just sand a section. So we will sand all of your floor to remove imperfections, level the floor and prepare for coating.
BOARD REPLACEMENT
If your timber floor has damage, such as split, water damaged or rotten boards, we are able to replace sections of the timber, matching the species where possible.
COATING
We offer both water based and solvent based polyurethane coating systems. Water based is non-toxic, where as solvent is toxic but more cost-effective.
RECOATS
If your polished floor only has minor markings and just needs a refresh, we are able to wash, lightly sand and put a top coat on at a far lower price than sanding and polishing.
Job Duration
Floors
Generally speaking, we can cover 50 square meters in a day for most floor sanding jobs. So for an average 100 square meter floor, it will take 2 days of sanding followed by 2 days of coating.
Stairs
Generally it takes a day to sand a flight of stairs, and then allow 2 subsequent days for coating. Allow more time if there are stringers and balustrades.
Decks
For your backyard deck or veranda, same principle for floors applies. If you would like to coat the deck yourself, we can offer stand alone sanding.
